ISRO gears up for ambitious Mars mission

The satellite, to be launched on board a satellite launch vehicle polar (PSLV-XL), and compact carrying scientific experiments, totaling a mass of 15 kg, according to officials ISRO.

Preparations in full swing for the next "big" Mars Orbiter Mission in October and November, which is an ambitious project that would shed light on the possible existence of life on this planet in addition to strengthening our brand's space agency ISRO.

The satellite, to be launched on board a satellite launch vehicle polar (PSLV-XL), and compact carrying scientific experiments, totaling a mass of 15 kg, according to officials ISRO. There will be five instruments to study the Martian surface, atmosphere and metallurgy.

The aim of Lehman alpha Photometer (LAP) in the study of escape Mars through the upper atmosphere deuterium / hydrogen, methane sensing MARS (MSM) look to detect the presence of methane gas while Mars Exospheric Composition Explorer (MENCA) will study the composition of the neutral atmosphere of Mars Supreme Court.

Will MARS color camera (MCC) undertakes photographic and imaging TIR spectrometer (TIS) is targeted to map the composition of the surface and minerals. He said, "Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) integration of the spacecraft is being implemented," ISRO official agency here today. "The spacecraft has to undergo tests to prove the merit rehabilitation space once the integration."

The task of help ISRO understanding of the challenges such a technological exploration, and the possibility of the existence of life and the future colonization of Mars, which is the closest planet where there is most similar to Earth. This will be India's first mission to a distant planet.

ISRO will launch a mission in the months of October and November. The official said, "If launched within the launch window (October 21 to 19 November 2013), the spacecraft travel a distance of at least to get to Mars."

This is the immediate next available opportunity for such a mission as Earth and Mars will then approaching.

Will PSLV-XL (PSLV-C25) injection spacecraft from the spaceport of Sriharikota in 250 x 23000 km orbit.

After leaving the Earth's orbit in November, will the MOM Cruz spacecraft in deep space for 10 months using the payment system and will reach Mars (Mars transfer path) in September 2014. The spacecraft kg 1350 is scheduled at a later time to enter into a 372 km by 80,000 km, elliptical orbit around Mars. "The main objective of this difficult task is to identify the technological capabilities of the Indian to reach Mars orbit," says the head of ISRO K Radhakrishnan, also Secretary in the Department of Space. "There are a number of technological challenges need to be negotiated for a successful Mars mission."

Mission critical operations and strict requirements on payment, communications and other bus systems of the spacecraft are sure to keep the headquarterd ISRO Bangalore on tenterhooks. The official said ISRO "One of the challenges is to realize technological Related deep space mission planning and management of communication at a distance of nearly 400 million kilometers." The spacecraft made with enhanced protection from radiation exposure for a long time in the Van Allen belt. This is due to the extent of the order of 55-400000000 km from Earth to Mars, there is a communication delay of 20 minutes in one direction and the same. For this reason, ISRO has built a high level of autonomy on board the orbiter at Mars. Chandrayaan-1, ISRO had to deal with only four lakh kilometers.

Durability and reliability of the payment system is "one thing up" as after leaving the Earth's orbit, the system requires work after nearly 300 days. During this trip, the system needs to maintain the integrity of the whole so as to catch the Mars orbit. Arrested on Mars orbit insertion or Mars is a critical event that will determine the success of this mission, officials say ISRO. More PTI RS RA RC DV 07071406 NNNN

In addition to the Mars Orbiter, ISRO has also planned a series of satellite launches different from both the country and Kourou, French Guiana, during the current fiscal year.

India's communications satellite INSAT-3D is scheduled to be launched aboard Ariane 5 rocket from French Guiana at the end of this month, while the European spaceport would also be the launch of GSAT-7 during the year.

The ISRO GSAT-14 will be launched on board GSLV on August 6 to be followed by SPOT-7, Earth observation satellite, which will be put into space by PSLV in December of this year.

Space Agency intends also to do Indian GSLV Mark III experimental task in January of next year and the launch of the second satellite navigation in the country IRNSS-1D in March.

IRNSS-1A, the first of its kind in a series of seven navigation satellites under a regional system for the Indian satellite navigation (IRNSS), was launched on board PSLV C22 from Sriharikota on July 2
