CBI raids Muralinagar passport seva kendra


Visakhapatnam: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the officials at Visakhapatnam Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Muralinagar here on Monday in the wake of complaints about mismanagement alleged slots appointment online as well as forging signatures of officials passport by some passport working toutsPSK to issue the application reference number (ARN) for some applicants.

And PSK, which is usually teeming passport applicants, wore a deserted look on Monday also began the CBI raids in the early morning, before the opening of the time, and continued until late in the evening.

He said the CBI DIG G Nageswara Rao TOI that a team of CBI officials conducted raids and were trying to gain more details about the alleged fraud as well as other irregularities committed by agents of a passport.

According to sources, the police raids helped CBI get their hands on specific information regarding the modus operandi of agents that forging signatures of officials passport. During the raids, a few more of these cases are also learned to have come to light.
