Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is bright, breezy film copper and designed for easy consumption. What certainly is not ballsy. For all the big ideas about life and the dilemmas of youth he tosses in the air more than the run-time and this is 20 minutes shy of three hours, it always chooses to play safe, oscillating between the ideas of rebellion and conformity work.

Characters spout platitudes familiar to each other: live your dream, get a life and move on, and stop affectionate yourself and learn to love yourself ... I have seen and heard all this before.

In the first half of the film, and four school buddies happy go lucky with the definition of superficial attributes reunion to go on a trekking trip to Manila and abroad.

Rabbit (Ranbir Kapoor) is footloose and dreams of exploring the world. Aditi (Kalki Koechlin) was the wild and fancy free. AVI (Aditya Roy Kapoor) is a happy wanderer to blow his cash on cricket bets.

Naina (Deepika Padukone) is one of the stranger. A student at the Faculty of Medicine, bespectacled and sedate. And thus join the gang in the act of defiance to rush, but can not break away from her neurological immune textbook until the rest of the traveling party live it up on the road.

By the end of stay-filled adventure through the ups and downs of the undulating landscape, each and every one of the four turns a little bit, but just to go his / her way.

Eight years later, one of the girls in the group, Aditi, decides to marry an engineer straight-laced (Kunaal Roy Kapoor) and her friends descend on the old resort in Udaipur for a major engagement.

As they did in the first time, they come and go talking about love, friendship, and the need to grow up so they consume a wide range of wines.

Between swigs, love and friendship does not happen, but the quartet does not grow quite as much.

Rabbit on the high-flying, after several years of globe, trotting photographer television, talks of the pleasure of watching Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. In response, the more rooted praises Naina joy of seeing ديلويل Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge with a tub of popcorn in Maratha Mandir.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is more pronounced than the latter than the former though it sometimes betrays the ambition to be larger in scope than what it is capable of.

It is a movie converter mildly at best. Her strongly organized musical kick with Ranbir Kapoor in the center of each of them, and it is fun while it lasts.

And dug rather sketchily personalities and psychological bends they face on the road to self-realization are far too simplistic to catch the audience by surprise.

Not for romance or drama that the film seeks to spark a possible salvation from being romp aimed just another harmless undemanding audience that is comfortable with a swim in the shallow end of life.

There is no denying, however, that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was filmed gorgeous, and the sites are eye-popping, guys and dolls that people are a bunch tale of attractive people.

Two of the lead actors, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and, do not make a pair on the screen to bring. Complemented well by Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin.

This is the erratic narrative arc, which is a disappointment. Too long, slow and thin, it meanders through a variety of sites, such as the young lovers / friends seeking to reconnect with each other after a few years of being away.

Procedures to sing and dance, and whatever eavesdropping on their feet, do not have exactly the kind of infectious energy that can compensate the cliches about that are wrapped it and turn the film into something more than just superficially enjoyable.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a mix of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, with a dollop of 3 idiots thrown in for good measure. Everything is served up in the Karan Johar style cooking where backgrounds - both at home and sites - are infinitely more expressive of the inner worlds of the young characters.

Hardly be explained the motives of the quartet of friends, who include expected a couple and this is on the verge of a relationship for life, but are either not able or not keen enough to express their love for each other, in terms of logical and convincing. As a result, the fragmented story rushes forward only in fits and starts.

The heroine is head over heels in love. They are smitten with boy opposed to making a commitment. The girl is able to communicate her true feelings. So you know exactly what the outcome will be. They will keep crossing each other's path until you find true love.

Director Ayan Mukherjee, who made a presentation of himself in the exciting debut film, Wake Up Sid, he seems to have allowed the skills he displayed in the first time to go into a deep slumber.

Not that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a sleeping pill. It is not. But could certainly have done with a bit more narrative verve.

Do not make it a point to get to your seat before the show begins. Madhuri Dixit item song plays off ten minutes into the movie. Watch Ranbir Kapoor match steps with the singer still shiny and you know what this guy is special. View Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for him.
