Charles Saatchi cautioned for Nigella Lawson assault


Art collector Charles Saatchi warned assault charges after pictures of him grasping his wife, Nigella Lawson, from the neck appeared in the newspaper.

He said he voluntarily went to the police station to accept the caution as "it was better than the alternative of this hanging on each and every one of us for several months."

Scotland Yard confirmed earlier that a man with a 70-year-old "accepted careful to attack" on Monday afternoon.

The chef has not commented Ms. Lawson.
